Pen Drawings
In 1989 I did some pen illustrations for a book. Doing this challenged me to improve my technique and style and to be more selective in how I interpreted the detail. Soon after the book I did 3 drawings of steps which I felt were pivotal in developing my pen drawing technique.

The two drawings below are of Marple Canal in Cheshire. See also the paintings of Marple canal on the oils and acrylics pages.

Below: The underside of this bridge really caught my eye and imagination. The bridge is in scotland and gave a feeling of being at an entrance to another kingdom.

The dog here is called Bosun and was one of two drawings to illustrate a poem I wrote in calligraphy.
